Why wireframes aren’t simply a scary Web construct

Poynter looks at how wireframes can help with planning of news coverage.

Practically speaking, wireframes aren’t new, or unique to Web content creation. The nomenclature is relatively new, but newsrooms — at least the better and more inclusive ones — have mapped out the flow of visuals and information as part of the planning process for a long time. This article simply highlights iterative design’s natural place in the infrastructure of a traditional medium.

See? We’re all not all that different.
