I’m an AP style dunce

Apparently, this isn’t my problem. I still win the dunce cap, though.

I just changed Wi-Fi to wi-fi in a writer’s document — without double-checking the prevailing style. The writer called me on it. As it turns out, wi-fi is the correct style for one of our major brands, CLEAR. But AP and Yahoo! both have stuck with Wi-Fi. Guess I’m getting ahead of myself on the clean’n’neat, lo-caps, lo-punctuation wave of style changes of the past few years.
