Not-so-light reading for a Tuesday morning

This is a few days old but worth the read. Frank Bruni interviews Michele Bachmann’s gay stepsister.

Bruni is an incredibly elegant writer and handles the inherent touchiness of this story with infinite grace.

I may not have grown up a chubby gay kid, but I did and do love to eat, sometimes to excess. Bruni’s story shows how food helps shape a personal and cultural narrative.
