With Hurricane Sandy dominating the conversation today, I’d like to take a moment to ask my peers out there to try to avoid weather cliches as much as possible. Here are a few sources of weather-language cheese:

Also, please try to avoid cutesy references to shaggy dogs and perky 1950s prom queens. Thank you.
